Abstract:
Objective: To explore an effective procedure for management of hepatolithiasis.
Methods: The clinical data of 43 patients with hepatolithiasis were analyzed retrospectively. All the cases were treated by regular hepatotomy combined with choledchoscope according to the stone location.
Results: No improvement was observed in 2 cases. One of them occasionally had cholangitis, and the other had residual stones and recurrent cholangitis which needed reoperation.
Conclusions: The procedure of regular hepatotomy combined with choledochoscope is safe and effective, and may significantly reduce the rate of residual stones.
