Abstract:
Objective: To compare the results of proximal lade plate and dynamic hip screw(DHS)for treatment of interochanteric fracture of femur(ITFF).
Methods: Thirty cases of ITFF treated by proximal femoral blade plate and 28 cases by DHS were reviewed.
Results: The time of operation, the bleeding amount during the operation and the outcome were significantly different in the fracture type of Evans Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ treated with ITFF or DHS(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: Using proximal femoral blade plate for treatment of ITFF can shorten the operation time, reduce the bleeding amount and strengthen the stability of the interochanteric fracture of femur. It proves to be more effective than DHS in treatment of ITFF.
