Abstract:
Objective: To explore the clinical value of 64 row spiral CT angiography(CTA) in the diagnosis of craniocervical vascular disease.
Methods: The 64 row spiral CTA in 72 patients with suspected for craniocervical vascular disease were detected, the primary data of which were imported into ADW4.4 work-station.The craniocervical vessels were analyzed by muti-plane,curved surface and volume reconstruction, and post-processing techniques of maximum intensity projection.
Results: Among 72 patients, the cerebral aneurysm in 26 cases, arteriostenosis in 17 cases, aneurysm complicated with artery stenosis in 7 cases, inborn variation of vessel in 8 cases, moyamoya disease in 5 cases, arteriovenous malformation in 4 cases and normal in 5 cases were identified.
Conclusions: The 64 row spiral CTA is a noninvasive method, which can clearly display the main artery and its branches, has higher clinical value in the etiological diagnosis of craniocervical vascular disease and prognosis, and play an important guiding role in clinical diagnosis and treatment, can be widely popularized and applied.
