Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the relationship between the serum levels of high-sensitivity c-reactive protein(hs-CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and the pathogenesis of vascular complication in patients with diabetes mellitus.
Methods: Serum hs-CRP was measured by particle immunoturbidimetric method on analysis instrument Hitachi 7170A.IL-6 and TNF-α were measured by double antibody sandwich ELISA.
Results: The serum levels of hs-CRP,IL-6,and TNF-α of participants with vascular disease were significantly increased than that of participants without vascular disease and that in normal controls, and the level of hsCRP was positively correlated with the levels of IL-6,and TNF-α in type 2 diabetes, but not in normal controls.
Conclusions: IL-6,and TNF-α,positively correlated with hs-CRP could play important roles in pathogenesis and progression of type 2 diabetes vascular complication.
