Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate X-ray examination in diagnosis of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis(CHPS).
Methods: Twenty cases with CHPS confirmed by surgery and histopathology in our hospital during 2008 to 2009 underwent X-ray examination,and the X-ray manifestation was analyzed retrospectively.
Results: Stomach dilatation was observed in 20 cases,stomach emptypostpone in 20 cases and gastro-esophageal hernia in 8 cases.The "line" signs in 20 cases,the "double-track" signs in 10 cases,the "beak" signs in 10 cases,the "shoulder" signs in 15 cases and the "umbrella" signs in 18 cases.
Conclusions: Long and narrow pyloric tubes and compression of hypertrophic pyloric cycliemusculic are reliable signs for diagnosis of CHPS.
