Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and the related factors of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).
Methods: One hundred and twenty cases of OSAHS confirmed by polysomnography were classified into mild, moderate and severe groups according to the apnea hypopnea index and night SaO
2;and the clinical features of the three groups were compared.
Results: The difference was significant among the three groups in terms of age, neck circumference, body mass index, longest apnea time and the index of lowest arterial O
2 saturation(
P<0.05-
P<0.01).
Conclusions: OSAHS can be a great risk factor for public health.Early diagnosis and treatment is essential for the prevention of severe complications of OSAHS.
