Abstract:
Objective To investigate the relationship between the trajectory of serum microribonuclease-6b (miR-26b) changes and the perinatal outcomes of pregnant women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP).
Methods The clinical data of 96 pregnant women with HDP were retrospectively analyzed. Statistical analysis of the perinatal outcomes of HDP pregnant women was conducted, and they were divided into a poor perinatal outcome group (n = 31) and a good perinatal outcome group (n = 65) based on the perinatal outcomes. Clinical data and changes in miR-26b levels at different stages were compared between the two groups of HDP pregnant women. Logistic regression analysis of risk factors affecting the perinatal outcomes of HDP pregnant women, and analysis of the predictive power of serum miR-26b levels at different stages on the perinatal outcomes of HDP pregnant women.
Results The incidence of adverse outcomes in newborns of HDP pregnant women was 32.29% (31/96). The age, uric acid (UA), and serum miR-26b levels in early, mid, and late pregnancy of HDP pregnant women in the adverse group were higher than those in the good group (P < 0.05). The logistic regression analysis results showed that UA, miR-26b in the second trimester of pregnancy, and miR-26b in the third trimester of pregnancy were all risk factors for perinatal outcomes in HDP pregnant women (P < 0.05). ROC analysis showed that the AUC of miR-26b in the second trimester of pregnancy and in the third trimester of pregnancy for predicting perinatal outcomes in HDP pregnant women were 0.812 (95% CI: 0.720 ~ 0.885) and 0.826 (95% CI: 0.735 ~ 0.896), respectively.
Conclusions The changes in serum miR-26b are related to the perinatal outcomes of HDP pregnant women, and miR-26b in mid pregnancy and late pregnancy has a higher predictive power for the perinatal outcomes of HDP pregnant women.
