Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the expression and its significance of Ets-1(E26 transformation-specific) in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas(ESCC).
Methods: Tissue samples were collected from 68 patients who underwent surgery in our hospital from 1999 to 2005.The expression of Ets-1 in these samples by immunohistochemistry was detected.
Results: Ets-1 protein expressed in esophageal carcinoma tissues is significantly higher than in pericancerous tissues(
P<0.005).The expression of Ets-1 is positively correlated with the pathology grading, lymph node metastasis, and TNM stage of ESCC(
P<0.05).The pathological type were no association with the Ets-1 protein expression positive rates in ESCC.
Conclusions: The results indicated that Ets-1 was over expressed in ESCC tissues and correlated with its pathology grading, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage.
