Abstract:
Objective:To observe the effect of ransumbilical single-port access in laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC),and to sum up the surgical experience.
Methods:The clinical data of 20 cases having received transumbilical single-hole LC were reviewed and analyzed. Among the 20 cases,11 suffered from cholecystitis and biliary calculus, 7 cholecystitis and polyp of the gallbladder, 2 cholecystitis and biliary calculus and polyp of the gallbladder.
Results:The operation was successful in all the 20 cases. No infection or cholerrhagia occurred. All the patients were discharged from hospital 4-7 days after operation. No obvious scar was observed in the umbilical region during the subsequent visits one month later.
Conclusions:As a new technology, transumbilical single-hole LC can achieve the effect of both minimal invasion and good vision. It is safe and well worth popularizing.
