Abstract:
Objective: To explore the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of functional delayed gastric emptying(FDGE) after non-gastric operation.
Methods: The clinical data of 7 patients with FDGE from May 2000 to December 2005 were analyzed retrospectively.
Results: FDGE usually occurred on the 4th to 8th day postoperatively. The gastric function of patients who received non-operative therapy recovered on the 15th to 24th day postoperatively.
Conclusions: FDGE is caused by multiple factors.Gastroscopy and X-ray of digestive tract are valuable in the diagnosis of it.FDGE can be cured by non-surgical treatment.
