Abstract:
Objective: To study the influence of arsenic trioxide(As
2O
3) on the telomerase activity in melanoma B
16 cells,so as to provide new theoretical and experimental basis for the treatment of melonoma by As
2O
3.
Methods: The telomerase activity in melonoma B
16 cells was detected by TRAP-ELISA and TRAP-PAGE-silver staining.
Results: As
2O
3 could inhibit telomerase activity in melanoma B
16 cells and the rates of inhibition had both dose-dependent and time-dependent manner.
Conclusions: The inhibition of B
16 cells by As
2O
3 is enhanced with the increase of As
2O
3 concentration or prolongation of co-culture time.
