Abstract:
Objective: To study the role of CD44v6 and nm23 in predicting colorectal metastases, especially the liver metastases.
Methods: One hundred and fifty-nine cases of colorectal cancer received the immunohistochemical detection in our hospital from 2005 to 2008 randomly selected. The association of CD44v6 and nm23 with tumor differentiation,as well as lymph and liver metastasis was studied.
Results: The expression of CD44v6 and nm23 in colorectal cancer was closely linked with the lymph nodes and liver metastases(
P<0.05 to
P<0.01)
Conclusions: CD44v6 and nm23 can efficiently predict the colorectal metastases, especially the incidence of liver metastases, which may help to determine the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.
