Abstract:
Objective: To determine the expressions of estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor(PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) by immunohistochemistry in invasive apocrine carcinomas (IACs), and analyze the clinicalpathological significance.
Methods: Thirty-three cases of IACs which contented histological diagnostic criteria were collected by retrospective analysis. The HE sections and clinical data were reviewed, and the expressions of ER, PR and HER2 were determined by immunohistochemistry.
Results: ER, PR and HER2 expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry in all cases for molecular typing. Among them,18 cases of triple negative (TN) type, 11 cases of HER2 type, and 4 cases of other types were classed.
Conclusions: IACs shows unique morphological features and immunohistochemical expression patterns. For molecular typing, most of them were classed into TN type and HER2 type.
