Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the sensitivity and specificity of anti-SmD1 antibody in diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus and the relationship between the level of antibody in sera and the activity of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).
Methods: The anti-SmD1 antibody in 137 cases with SLE and 75 cases without SLE were measured by line immuno assay(LIA).The cases with positive results were determined by ELISA again. The specificity and sensitvity of anti-SmD1 antibody in sera of the patients were analyzed and the relations between the clinical manifestations, examination results and the active score of the patients were observed.
Results: The sensitivity of anti-SmD1 antibody by LIA was 84.9% and the specificity was 96.0%.The level of anti-SmD1 antibody was positively related with SLEDMI(r=0.674,P<0.01).
Conclusions: The sensitivity by LIA is significantly higher than that by IBT.The level of anti-SmD1 antibody in sera is associated with the activity of SLE.
