Abstract:
Objective: To compare irregular antibodies' postive rates of the first and repeated blood transfusions, and to approach applied value of the crossmatching test by microcolumn gel test(MGT) and manual polybrene test(MPT) in the sustainable hemtodialysis' patients.
Methods: Ninety-six patients sustainable hematodialysis' who required blood transfusion were crossmatched by MGT and MPT.
Results: In 462 cross matching tests for 96 patients, the difference of crossmatching compatibility showed statistical significance between MGT and MPT(
P<0.01).Among the total,62 cases of MGT major and minor incompatibility were positive by direct antiglobulin test. Moreover, with the increase of transfusion'times, the positive rate of irregular antibodies also increased by MGT and MPT(
P<0.01).The total positive rate was higher using MGT than using MPT,the susceptibility of MGT was obviously higher than MPT(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: In sustainable hemtodialysis' patients, there will be line irregularity of antibodies after continual and repeated transfusions. In MGT,sensitized RBC will lead to difficulty of crossmatching test.In combination with MPT,we can further understand the nature of incompatibility, which can improve safety of transfusion. It might be of good complementarity when there is minor incompatibility of MGT in cross matching.
