Abstract:
Objective: To explore the alterative mechanism of intestinal mucosal cell membrane fluidity and calcium pump in rats with acute pancreatitis(AP),and to study the effects of emodin and somatostatin on them.
Methods: Eighty male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham operation group(SO),normal saline(NS) group, emodin group and somatostatin group.Intestinal mucosal cell membrane Ca
2+-Mg
2+ATPase activity, fluorescence polarization, malondialdehyde(MDA) content and blood flow of intestinal mucosa were determined 6 hours after the model rats of acute pancreatitis were established.
Results: In the emodin group and somatostatin group, the MDA content was lower than that in the SO group(P<0.01),Ca
2+-Mg
2+ATPase activity and membrane fluidity were higher than those in SO group(P<0.01)and the decreased value of blood flow of intestinal mucosa was lower compared with that of SO group.
Conclusions: Emodin and somatostatin can protect the function of intestinal mucosal barrier by ameliorating intestinal mucosa ischemia, improving calcium pump activity and elevating intestinal mucosal cell membrane fluidity.
