Abstract:
Objective: To know about the situation of hepatitis B virus infection and the liver function among college freshman,in order to provide the scientific basis for prevention and education work.
Methods: Firstly used enzyme linked immunosorbent assay to check HBsAg carriers of freshmen 2006,2007,2008;then used kinetic method to determine the serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT).
Results: The positive rates of HBsAg were 3.19%,3.38%,and 2.07% among freshmen 2006,2007,and 2008,respectively;and 2.87% among the total students. The positive rate was significantly lower than the level of national population seroepidemiological survey of hepatitis B (8.57%) in 2006.The difference of positive rates was statistically significant among freshmen 2006,2007,and 2008 (P < 0.05).The difference of positive rates was statistically significant between male students and female students (
P<0.01).And the difference of positive rates was also statistically significant between male students and female students among freshmen 2006,2007,and 2008,respectively (
P<0.01).The difference of abnormity rate about ALT was not statistically significant among freshmen 2006,2007,and 2008 (
P>0.05).
Conclusions: The positive rate of HBsAg is low among freshmen. The positive rate of male students is significantly higher than that of female students. The abnormity rate of ALT is low.The college must strengthen health education of the hepatitis B to the students, increase physical examination items and have them vaccinated against hepatitis B virus.
