Abstract:
Objective: To review the efficacy of ventricular septum defect repair in infants with body weight less than 10 kg.
Methods: Of 83 infants(male 53,female 30),the ventricular septum defect(VSD) were repaired under cardiopulmonary bypass.
Results: No death occurred.Postoperative complications were pneumonia 22 cases,arrhythmia 3 cases,pneumothorax 2 cases,low output syndrome 1 case,and residual shunt 1 cases.
Conclusions: VSD in infant with repeated pneumonia and pulmonary hypertension should be operated on as early as possible.Rational and effective treatment of all process could make the increase of the successful rate.
