Abstract:
Objective: To compare the test results by the dry and the liquid biochemical analyzers.
Methods: Forty-four blood samples without hemolysis and hyperlipidemia were analyzed of the alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),total bilirubin(TB),uric acid(UA),blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and serum creatinine(Scr) in SPOTCHEMTMⅡ SP-4430 and in OLYMPUS AU2700 chemical analyzer.
Results: The test results of BUN,TB,TP were statistically different by the two methods(P<0.05 to P<0.001),but the difference was not significant in those of ALT,AST,ALB,UA and Scr(P>0.05).
Conclusions: There are great differences in some of the test results by the dry and the liquid chemical methods. And it is essential to analyze the results by the two methods and calibrate the chemical analyzers so as to assure their accuracy.
