Abstract:
Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of social frailty in elderly patients with hypertension Based on the health ecology model, and provide a reference basis for formulating targeted intervention measures.
Methods A total of 243 elderly hypertensive patients from 4 communities in Chengdu were investigated using the general information questionnaire, social frailty scale, multiple mental health literacy scale and perceived social support scale.
Results The score of social frailty of elderly hypertensive patients in the community was (2.27 ± 1.41) points, the score of the mental health literacy scale was (9.47 ± 4.58) points, and the score of the perceived social support scale was (62.6 ± 5.61) points. There were statistically significant in the social frailty among elderly hypertensive patients with different ages, educational levels, marital status, complications, monthly income level and physical exercise (P < 0.01). The mental health literacy was negatively correlated with social frailty (P < 0.01), and the perceived social support was also negatively correlated with social frailty (P < 0.01). The age, marital status, monthly income level and perceived social support were the influencing factors of social frailty in elderly patients with hypertension (P < 0.05 - P < 0.01).
Conclusions The incidence of social frailty among elderly hypertensive patients in the community is relatively high. Community medical staff should regularly assess the level of social frailty of elderly patients, and formulate targeted intervention measures to reduce the occurrence and development of social frailty.
