Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the complications in children with cleft lip and palate during the waking period of anesthesia after surgery operation,and to find out the preventive and treatment measures.
Methods:Six hundred and fifty children with cleft lip and palate were divided into three age groups:infant group (3 month-1 year),young child group (>1-3 year) and child group (>3-6 year).The complications in the waking period of anesthesia after surgery operation were observed and analyzed retrospectively.
Results:The incidence of complications in each group was different.Hypoxemia was most often noted in infant group (23.0%),pyknocardia (7.4%) and hypoxemia (8.5%) were commonly observed in young child group,and vomiting (10.9%) and restlessness (6.5%) in child group (
P<0.05).
Conclusions:Children with cleft lip and palate should be closely monitored in the waking period of anesthesia group after surgery operation so that specific therapy and nursing can be applied in accordance to the age.
