Abstract:
Objective To explore the application value of laparoscopic technique combined with PBL in the teaching of colorectal malignant tumors.
Methods The interns rotating in the gastrointestinal surgery department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University from 2022 to 2023 were divided into the control group (n = 53) and intervention group (n = 52) according to the random number table method. The control group was taught with the simple PBL mode, and the intervention group was taught with laparoscopic technique combined with PBL mode. After the 2-week internship, the students were assessed, and the differences of assessment and subjective questionnaire survey results were compared between two groups.
Results There was no statistical significance in the scores of admission assessment between two groups (P > 0.05). The score of surgical knowledge assessment in the intervention group was higher than that in control group (P < 0.01). The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the learning initiative, learning interest and teaching satisfaction in the intervention group were better than those in control group (P < 0.01).
Conclusions In the teaching of colorectal malignant tumors in gastrointestinal surgery, the combination of laparoscopic technique and PBL method can improve the learning initiative and interest of interns, and thus improve the teaching quality.
