Abstract:
Objective: To investgate the relationship between p53,p16,bcl-2,c-fos gene expression level and cell apoptosis in cerebral glioma with the development and progression.
Methods: The expression of p53,p16,bcl-2,c-fos protein was detected in 150 cases of different grade cerebral glioma by immunohistochemistry and cell apoptosis by using
in situ end labeling(ISEL) technique.
Results: The positive expression rate of p53,p16,bcl-2,c-fos protein in 150 cases of cerebral glioma was 56.67,38.67,61.37, 46.67,respectively;There was significant difference of the expression of p53,p16,bcl-2 protein among Ⅰ-Ⅳgrade glioma (
P<0.005),there was no significant difference of the expression of c-fos protein(
P>0.05).With the higher of the positive intensity of bcl-2 protein, cell apoptosis was decrease in the tumor, but there was no significant difference of the cell apoptosis (
P>0.05).
Conclusions: The abnormal expression of p53,p16,bcl-2,c-fos protein played an important role in the development and progression of cerebral glioma. The cooperation of the p53,p16,bcl-2,c-fos protein may cause disorder of cell apoptosis, and unbalance of cell proliferation and apoptosis. Then the detection of p53,p16,bcl-2,c-fos protein may play an important role in prognosis and clinic gene therapy.
