Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the effect of posterior microendoscopic discectomy(MED) system on lumbar intervertebral disc herniation(LIDH).
Methods: The clinical data of 136 LIDH cases treated with MED were retrospectively reviewed and analyzed.
Results: All the patients were ambulant two to three days after the operation,with a mean hospital stay of 5 days. The excellent and good rate was 94.5%.
Conclusions: The key to successful MED with no complications is familiarity with equipment, proper choice of indication,exact surgical location and skillful operation.
