Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the effect of
89SrCl therapy on patients with metastatic carcinoma of bone.
Methods: Twenty-two patients were treated by intravenous
89SrCl at a dose of 1.48-2.22 MBq/kg.The bone-pain,lesion and the side-effect were observed.The imaging and serum tumor makers were followed up.
Results: The bone-pain vanished or eased in 18 cases after the therapy.The response rate was 81.8%.The lesions became small or vanished in some patients and the serum tumor markers and alkaline phosphates(AKP) came down.
Conclusions: 89SrCl has obvious effect on patients with metastatic carcinoma of bone and the side-effect is mild.
