Abstract:
Objective: To reconstruct and visualize three-dimentional model of Rolando fissure for the stereotactic anatomy.
Methods: Rolando fissure, the lateral ventricle, the cerebrum and the borderyline of head were identified and segmented on a series of transverse MRI of head, and the three-dimentional model of them were reconstructed in 3D-Doctor workstation with the method of surface rendering.
Results: The three-dimentional model of Rolando fissure, other interesting structures and their spatial relation were observated in three-dimensional virtual space in random angles.
Conclusions: Anatomical observation and measurement can be implemented in the three-dimentional model.Furthermore,it was hoped that the model would benefit to virtual surgical training and surgical planning in neurosurgery.
