Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the relationship between the value of cerebral blood volume(CBV) and Ras homologue A(RhoA) expression.
Methods: CT perfusion imaging was performed in thirty-one cases of astrocytomas(14 cases of low grade astrocytomas and 17 cases of high grade astrocytomas). The CBV and RhoA expression were determined by immunohistochemical method, and the relation between them was analyzed.
Results: The CBV value and immunoeactivity score in high grade astrocytoma tumors were higher than that in low grade astrocytoma tumors(
P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between CBV value and RhoA expression(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: CT perfusion imaging is valuable in preoperative grading of astrocytoma, and CBV is advantageous in evaluating the invasion of astrocytomas.
