Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the change in cesarean rate and indications from 2000 to 2007,and to investigate measures of decreasing the rate of cesarean section.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of the data of 10 377 cases of pregnant women in the recent 8 years was carried out to compare the changes in cesarean rate and surgical indications.
Results: The rate of cesarean has been increasing year by year.It was 29.4% in 2000 and 60.1% in 2007.The indications were social factors, fetal distress, pregnancy complications and dystocia.Among them, social factors increased the most.
Conclusions: The key to lowering the rate of cesarean section is to grasp the medical indication strictly and manage clinical dystocia actively,as well as decreasing the cesarean of social factors.
