Abstract: Objective:To discuss the local recurrence rate and cosmetics results in breast cancer after breast conserving radica1 mastectomy and radical mastectomy conserving ammilla,skin combining simultaneous breast augmentationwith prosthesis.Methods:Eighty patients were divided into two groups.There were 45 patients in breast conserving radica1 mastectomy (group A) and 35 in radical mastectomy conserving ammilla,skin combining simultaneous breast augmentationwith prosthesis (group B).The loacal recurrence rate and cosmetics results were evaluated after surgery.Results:The loacal recurrence rate in groups A and B was 2.2% and 0,respectively,the ipsilateral breast reoperation rate in groups A and B was 31.1% and 0,respectively.The cosmetic results of group A were better than that of group B (P<0.05).Conclusions:Group B patients are also suitable for group A patients for operation.Radical mastectomy conserving ammilla,skin combining simultaneous breast augmentationwith prosthesis is the recommendatory for those who are suitable for two radical mastectomies,for it can reduce the ipsilateral breast reoperation rate.
