Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate the biocompatibility of Bi0.5 Na0.5TiO3-based(BNT) lead-free piezoceramics material in vitro. Methods:Human osteoblast-like cell lines were cultured with BNT,(LixNayK1-x-y)NbO3-based,polymethylmethacrylate,and blank control groups, the morphology and proliferation function of the osteoblast-like cells were observed by scanning electron microscopy and 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. Results:The osteoblast-like cell lines adhered, grew and proliferated normally and perfectly on the surface of the material.Compared with the (LixNayK1-x-y)NbO3-based,polymethylmethacrylate and blank control groups,BNT showed a higher optical density at 1,3,5,7,9 days(PConclusions:The new piezoelectric ceramic seems to possess the good biocompatibility in vitro,it may be a new type of biological material.
