Abstract: Objective:To study the character of the discoid meniscus injury and the effectiveness of arthroscope treatment.Methods:Twenty-eight cases with discoid meniscus injury were treated with the arthroscope,including 16 cases with partial resection,9 cases with subtotalresection and 3 cases with resection.The effectiveness was evaluated by using Ikeuchi points scoring system.Results:The patients were followed from 3 to 24 months.Eighteen cases were excellent,7 cases were good and 3 cases were general.Good rate was 89.2% and all cases had no complications.Conclusions:Owing to high-accuracy,small operators trauma,joint function quick recovery and fewer complications,the approach of discoid meniscal injury treated with arthroscopic is an ideal treatment way.Early detection,early diagnosis,early treatment,and keeping 6-8 mm healthy discoid meniscus tissue is the key of treatment discoid meniscus injury with arthroscope.
