Abstract:
Objective:To discuss the value of transarterial embolization for postoperative hemorrage. Methods:Arterial angiography and transarterial embolization were performed in 13 patients with recurrent postoperative bleeding after surgery and biopsy, and efficiency of the operation was observed. Results:After angiography was perfomed in 13 patients, pseudoaneurysms were found in 6 patients, contrast medium extravasations were found in other 6 patients, and no abnomal arteriography was found in another 1 patient.Bleeding was controlled in 12 patients of the 13 patients after accepted transarterial embolization.Recurrent bleeding occurred in 1 patient of the 13 patients and it was not controlled after accepted transarterial embolization again for the reason of hemophilia. Conclusions:Transarterial embolization is safe, invasive and effective method for treatment of postoperative bleeding.
