Abstract:
Objective:To explorer the influence of the gastric lavage and micro-feeding in severe gastrointestinal disorders of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).Methods:Thirty-five cases of severe HIE without gastric lavage on admission in 2008 were treated as the control group which was given regular feeding and direct comprehensive care and treatment.Thirty-five cases of severe HIE in 2009 were the intervention group which was given gastric lavage by 1% SB,6 hours fasting and micro-feeding on the basis of comprehensive care and treatment. The incidence of gastrointestinal disorders of the two groups within 7 days was Compared. Results:The incidence of gastrointestinal disorders in the control group and intervention group was 45.71% and 8.57% separately, which was a statistically significant difference(P﹤0.01).In the intervention group, one case of congenital esophageal atresia and 3 cases of stress ulcer were found through gastric lavage. Conclusions:After admission, gastric lavage and micro-feeding in severe HIE cases can effectively reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal dysfunction and can find gastrointestinal abnormalities in time to take relative measures to promote the disease early recovery.
