Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effects of limited fluid resuscitation combined with Xuebijing injection on the blood loss and resuscitative fluid in rabbits with uncontrolled hemorrhagic shock. Methods:The model of 24 New Zealand rabbits with uncontrolled hemorrhagic shock was established, and rabbits were divided into XBJ group(Xuebijing injection),LRS group(lactated ringer' s solution) and NRC group (none resuscitation control) (8 rabbits each group). The three groups were intervened with different resuscitative fluid in the limited and bleeding resuscitation phase. The number of survived rabbits, the blood loss, the volume of fluid input and hematocrit(HCT) changes of different time-phases of three groups were observed. Results:All animals in NRC group died at the end of the experiment(about 390 minutes),and which average survival time was 152. 8 minutes. All animals in XBJ and LRS group survived. In the limited resuscitation phase, the blood loss in NRC group was the least. The blood loss in XBJ group was significantly less than that in LRS group(P0.01). In the limited and bleeding resuscitation phase, the resuscitative fluid in XBJ group was significantly less than that in LRS group(P0. 01). At the end of the limited and bleeding resuscitation phase and hospital observation period, the HCT in XBJ group was significantly higher than that in LRS group(P0.01). Conclusions:Compared with LRS, the threatment of rabbit with uncontrolled hemorrhagic shock with XBJ combined with LRS can reduce the amount of blood loss and resuscitative fluid, and decrease HCT in the limited fluid resuscitation phase, which is helpful for the recovery of animal shock.
