Abstract:
Objective:To observe the effects and morphological changes of corner of treating angle-closure glaucoma complicated with senile cataract with phacoemulsification combined with goniosynechialysis. Methods:Sixty patients(62 eyes) suffering from acute or chronic angle-closure glaucoma complicated with varying degrees senile cataract were selected. The eyesight, intraocular pressure, vision, depth of central anterior chamber and corner morphology of all eyes were compared preoperation and postoperation. Results:All patients were followed up for 33 months, the eyesight of 58 eyes were obviously improved after operation. The depth of anterior chamber of 62 eyes was deepened, the depth preoperation and postoperation were(1. 5640. 283) and(3. 142 0. 185)mm, respectively. The intraocular pressure of 59 eyes were obviously decreased after operation, the intraocular pressure preoperation and postoperation were (22. 42 3. 53) and (13. 52 3. 24) mmHg, respectively. 85 percent of the corners were fully or partially open in postoperative 1 and 3 months. Conclusions:Phacoemulsification combined with goniosynechialysis is an effective mothed to treat glaucoma with less than or equal to 270 degrees of goniosynechia, which is fewer complications, raising eyesight and comfort.
