Abstract: Objective:To investigate the clinical value of the ultrasonic examination in the diagnosis of gallbladder perforation.Methods:The ultrasonic images of 51 cases with suspected acute cholecystitis were investigated.The size,shape,cystwall,the surrounding tissues of gallbladder and abdominal cavity were observed through the longitudinal,horizontal,and multidimensional scaning of the right upper abdomen of patients.The ultrasonographic findings were compared with operation and pathological examination.Results:Fifty-one of 58 cases with gallbladder perforation were diagnosised by ultrasonography and the coincidence rates were 87.93%.The ultrasonic imaging had characteristic changes,which was easy to diagnose and differentially diagnose.Conclusions:The ultrasonography has high veracities,which can determine the parts of the perforation and display the surrounding tissues of gallbladder and abdominal cavity.It may be a major means to detect perforation of gallbladder and has a high practical value.
