Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the clinical application of central lymph node dissection in differentiation thyroid carcinoma(DTC) with cervical lymph node negative(cN0 stage).Methods:Thirty-six cases(39 sides) with cN0 DTC were treated with central lymph node dissection, and the clinical effects were observed after surgery. Results:The positive rates of central lymph node were 41.03%(16/39).One case appeared transient hoarseness, and no permanent hypocalcemia convulsions and other complications were found. All cases were followed up for 1 to 6 years,3 cases with lymph node-positive in Ⅵ District recurred carcinoma, who were treated with lateral lymph node dissection again. Conclusions:Central lymph node metastasis of differentiated thyroid carcinoma with cN0 stage is in common, central lymph node dissection for treating differentiated thyroid carcinoma is safe and feasible.
