Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the safety and effectiveness of laryngeal mask(LMA) in elderly patients with general anesthesia. Methods:Forty ASA Ⅱ-Ⅲ elderly patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anesthesia were randomly divided into LMA group(group L,20 cases) and endotracheal intubation group(group T,20 cases). The data of systolic pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP) and heart rate(HR) were recorded at the time of before induction of anesthesia(T0),before LMA insertion/trachea catheter(T1),insertion of tracheal catheter(T2),5 min after insertion of the laryngeal mask/tracheal catheter(T3),before pull out the LMA/trachea catheter(T4),pull out the LMA/tracheal catheter(T5)and 5 min after pull out the LMA/tracheal catheter. The complications were recorded during the perioperative period. Results:The hemodynamics of group L was stable compared with group T during intubation/extubation.The complications of perioperation period of group T were significantly more than those of group L(P0.01).Conclusions:Laryngeal mask for elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a safe and effective method.
