Abstract:
Objective:To observe the correlation between the plasma level of high sensitivity C creactive protein(Hs-C P),homocysteine(HCY)and pulse wave velocity(PWV)in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods:Fifty-seven CHD patients confirmed by coronary angioplasty were divided into single vessel-lesion group(14 cases) double-vessel-lesion group(26 cases)and triple-vessel-lesion group(17 cases),while 25 healthy adults were selected as control. The Hs-CrP,HCY,plasma glucose(FPG),triglyceride(TG) total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and PWV were detected in each group. Results:Compared with the control, the plasma level of FPG,TG,TC,LDL-C,Hs-CrP,HCY and PWV of the CAD group increased significantly(P0.01).The plasma level of Hs-CrP,HCY and PWV increased in accordance with the number of the coronary lesion(P0.05 to P0.01).The plasma level of HCY was positively correlated with that of Hs-CrP,HCY and PWV(P0.05).Conclusions:The plasma level of Hs-CrP,HCY and PWV are high in patients with CHD and closely correlated with the degree of the coronary lesion, which may be of use in predicting the severity of the CHD.
