Abstract:
Objective: To explore the effects of octreotide(OCT) on the growth cycle of hormone-resiotant human prostate cancer cell.Methods:PC-3 cell line(human prostate cancer cell) was treated with gradient concentration of OCT,the growth curve of PC-3 cells was observed,and the growth cycle of PC-3 cell was detected by flow cytometry.Results:Concentration-dependent growth inhibition of octreotide was detected in the PC-3 cell line(P0.05 to P0.01).The growth cycle of PC-3 cell arrested in G0 / G1 phase after treatment with OCT.Conclusions:Octreotide can inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cell line,which provide a new method for treating hormone refractory prostate cancer.
