Abstract:
Objective: To explore the clinical effects of cast metal post with porcelain-fused-to -metal(PFM) crown in the restoration of maxillary anterior teeth lip deformity.Methods:Twenty patients with maxillary anterior teeth (62 teeth) lip deformity,who was unwilling to accept orthodontic treatment were treated with conventional root canal therapy and PFM crown restoration after cast metal post redirection.Results:Except for 1 case was lost to follow-up,other patients were followed up for 2 to 3.5 years.The root fracture in 2 teeth,crown fall off in 1 tooth and gingival edge discoloration in 2 teeth were found.Conclusions:PFM crown restoration after cast metal post redirection is an effective treatment for patients with maxillary anterior teeth lip deformity unwilling to accept orthodontic treatment.
