Abstract:
Objective: To compare the clinical effects and adverse reactions of aripiprazole and risperidone combined with lithium carbonate in the treatment of bipolar disorder manic episode. Methods:Sixty patients diagnosed by the criteria of ICD-10 bipolar disorder manic episode were randomly divided into aripiprazole group and risperidone group(30 cases each group),which were treated with aripiprazole combined with lithium carbonate and risperidone combined with lithium carbonate for 6 weeks respectively. The clinical effects and adverse reactions in two groups were evaulated using the mania rating scale (BRMS) and the side effects scale (TESS),respectively. Results:The BRMS scores in two groups at 1 to 6 weeks after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P0.01),but the BRMS score of aripiprazole group was lower than that in risperidone group at 1 week after treatment(P 0.05).The clinical effects differences between two groups had statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusions:There is no difference between the clinical effects of aripiprazole and risperidone combined with lithium carbonate in the treatment of bipolar disorder manic episode.
