Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the application value of echocardiography in Hybrid operation for treating atrial septal defect(ASD).Methods:Fifteen cases with central ASD diagnosed by transthoracic echocardiography(TTE) before operation were treated with minimally invasive surgical plugging, the appropriate occluder was selected according to the maximum diameter of ASD using transesophageal echocardiography during operation. The sheath tube was guided through ASD,around atrial face umbrella was released and the plugging effect was immediately evaluated. All cases were followed up for 1 to 12 months by TTE.Results:The plugging operations of 13 cases were successful,1 case plugging operation was successful through replacing small occluder with large occluder, and 1 case plugging operation was failure because the residual of inferior vena cava was soft. Conclusions:The patients with ASD selected by echocardiography, appropriate occluder, intraoperative monitoring and postoperative following-up have important clinical value in the treatment of ASD with Hybrid operation.
