Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the effect of short-term intensive insulin treatment on newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes millitus.
Methods: Forty-one newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes millitus were randomly divided into group A and group B.Group A were given regular oral hypoglycemic, and group B received insulin intensive treatment.Fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2 hour postprandial glucose(PG2h),fructosamine(FA),triglyceride(TG) and total cholesterol(TC) were observed and compared 2 and 4 weeks before and after treatment.
Results: After short-term intensive insulin treatment, the FPG,PG2h,FA of group B reduced significantly, compared with that of group A.The difference was significant(
P<0.05).
Conclusions: Intensive insulin treatment can effectively control glucose,TG and TC in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes millitus.
