Abstract:
Objective: To observe the curative effect of hyperbaric oxygen in treatment of craniocerebral trauma of children and to sum up the experience in the nursing care.
Methods: One hundred and sixty cases(82 children in observation group and 78 in control group) were analyzed retrospectively.The observation group were applied hyperbaric oxygenation in addition to the conventional therapy;at the same time,holistic nursing care,such as mental nursing,was performed,and knowledge about the hyperbaric oxygenation was provided to the parents to get their coordination.The control group were administered only the routine therapy.
Results: The overall response rate of the observation group was obviously higher than that of the control group(
P<0.005).
Conclusions: Hyperbaric oxygenation is effective for treatment of craniocerebral trauma in children.Meanwhile,appropriate nursing care is essential.
