Abstract: Objective: To explore the reasons of anastomotic obstruction caused by improper use of stapler in gastrointestinal surgery and control strategy.Methods: The clinical data of 9 cases with anastomotic obstruction caused by improper use of stapler were retrospectively analyzed. Nine cases were operated by end-to-side anastomosis,8 cases were sutured by hand after anastomotic obstruction during operation. Results: Nine patients with anastomotic obstruction were caused by the intestinal mucosa of mesentery edge nailing into the anastomotic stoma during operation. The anastomotic stoma in 1 case was sutured by hand again when the intestinal obstruction symptom was found by enteroscopy after operation. Conclusions: The details should be paid attention to during the using of stapler,which can avoid the anastomotic obstruction and reduce the suffering of patients.
