Abstract:
Objective To understand the current situation of disease uncertainty, psychological resilience and post-traumatic growth in patients undergoing superselective intra arterialembolization (SIAE) of intracranial aneurysms, and explore the correlation among psychological resilience, disease uncertainty and post-traumatic growth, so as to provide an intervention direction for promoting post-traumatic growth in SIAE patients with intracranial aneurysms.
Methods Patients with intracranial aneurysms who were admitted to our department from April 2022 to April 2025 were collected as the research subjects. The patients were investigated using the General Situation Questionnaire, Disease Uncertainty Scale (MUIS-A), Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and Post-Traumatic Growth Assessment Scale (PTGI), and the data were collected and analyzed. The influencing factors of post-traumatic growth were analyzed through univariate and multivariate analyses, and the mediating role of psychological resilience between disease uncertainty and post-traumatic growth in intracranial aneurysms patients treated with SIAE was analyzed using Model4 of the SPSS25.0 plug-in process.
Results The total scores of disease uncertainty, psychological resilience and post-traumatic growth were (73.29 ± 13.83) points, (69.39 ± 12.52) points and (65.03 ± 15.84) points respectively. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the monthly family income, educational level, disease understanding, psychological resilience and disease uncertainty were the main influencing factors of post-traumatic growth (P < 0.05), collectively explaining 75.1% of the total variation. The results of Bootstrap test showed that psychological resilience had a partial mediating effect between disease uncertainty and PTG in patients with intracranial aneurysm SIAE, with a mediating effect value of –0.141, accounting for 31.69% of the total effect (P < 0.01).
Conclusions The disease uncertainty, psychological resilience and PTG of patients with intracranial aneurysm SIAE are all at a medium level. The monthly family income, educational level, disease understanding, psychological resilience and disease uncertainty are the main influencing factors of post-traumatic growth. Psychological resilience has a partial mediating effect between disease uncertainty and PTG in patients with intracranial aneurysm SIAE. Attention should be paid to improving the psychological resilience of patients with intracranial aneurysm SIAE.
