Abstract:
Objective: To explore the effects of concentrated cleaning and disinfection of oxygen humidification bottles. Methods: Thirty oxygen humidification bottles randomly selected from the supply center were included in the experimental group and 30 oxygen humidification bottles from the clinical department acted as control. The cleaning and disinfection effects were evaluated by ocular estimate and sampling detection; and the results were compared between the 2 groups. Results: In the control group,33. 3% of the bottles were up to the standard by ocular estimate, and the qualified rate of germiculture was 43. 3%; in the experimental group, the qualified rates were 100% by both ocular estimate and in germiculture. The difference was statistically significant( P 0. 01). Conclusions: The outcome of concentrated cleaning and disinfection of oxygen humidification bottle is satisfactory, which may effectively help to prevent hospital infections.
