Abstract:
Objective: To explore the relationship between the expression of T-bet gene in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) and pathogenesis of aplastic anemia(AA).
Methods: T-bet mRNA expression in PBMC was semi-quantitatively analyzed by the reverse transcription PCR(RT-PCR) and the serum level of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) was detected by ELISA in total 37 cases, including 17 cases of the firstly diagnostic patients with AA,and 20 healthy individuals as controls.
Results: As compared with those in normal control group, the expression of T-bet in PBMC and the serum level of IFN-γ in the firstly diagnostic patients with AA increased with significant difference(
P<0.01),the correlativity of them appeared positive(
P<0.05).
Conclusions: The increased expression of both T-bet and IFN-γ may play an important role in immunopathology of AA.
