Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the major death causes of the population over 60 years old and to provide referential basis for the prevention and treatment of the diseases.Methods:According to the National Death Cause Reporting System data and the standard of international classification of diseases(ICD-10),957 death cases aged60 from 2009-2012 in th First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College were analyzed.Results:The mortality of population aged60 accounted for 61.54% of the total deaths,and the death cases of the male were much more than those of the female; the death peaks were 70-79 years of age.The first three death causes were malignant tumor,respiratory system disease and circulation system disease; The death causes were related to the age and gender; the major death causes of single disease were pulmonary infections,lung cancer and coronary heart disease.Conclusions:Prevention and treatment of malignant tumors,respiratory system diseases and circulation system diseases should be strengthened to improve the life quality of the aged population.
